Lama Oleg (Sonam Dorje) is the first Russian Lama who completed traditional training in Nepal. Lama Oleg is a disciple of Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche and Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche. Lama completed three traditional retreats, ten years overall, in 1997-2000, 2001-2005, 2014-2017. Chokiy Niyma Rinpoche during his seminars in Moscow confirmed Lama’s competence to explain Chokling Tersar practices, referring to him as a fully qualified teacher.
As of today Lama Oleg has built 18 stupas in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Austria, Africa (Sierra Leone) and South America (Colombia); he also built the first Buddhist temple near Moscow, and established the first retreat center in Colombia. He periodically teaches in Russia, Ukraine, Europe, Asia, and South America.
